According to U.S. Representative Duncan Hunter, it should be American workers:
. . . "If the American worker is going to pay for the defense of the free world," Hunter said in an interview, "he should participate fully in the manufacture of military goods . . ."
The article goes on to list some of the strategic concerns of reliance on foreign suppliers who may at some not-so-distant point in the future cease to be friendly to the interests of the United States. So, why is the Pentagon fighting the notion?
